Meeting minutes: What are we and where are we going to film?
In the meeting of ‘What are we and where are we going to film?’ many ideas were discussed such as content and who should film, but also who should be in the film.
Shaunice
Originally it was suggested by Shaunice that we make it really simple and cheesy using repetitive words and phrases, to make it silly but memorable. In the end the conclusion was drawn that we should try to use a demonstration, so we thought it was best to show it in a hairdressers like it was designed for by Steven McClean.
Sarah
It was pointed out by Sarah that we don’t have it in a power to go film in an actual hairdressers. So we decided that after we talked a bit about the product we would re-create a hairdressers. However we would do it in the same location so that the viewer finds it amusing and intentionally unrealistic, as we are only demonstrating the scenario. There is no need to try and do it else where as the point will be shown in the demonstration.
Having now decided what we were shooting, we all decided to feature in it at some point even though none of us are good actors. We also including a girl called Nipuni who was to help with the demonstration of what was supposedly a hairdressers. Many ideas were shared as to locations that would be suitable and available. As it was researched in AO1 so we knew what locations we had to choose from.
Sarah
It was announced by Sarah but decided by all that we would film in the tech room as it was the drawers natural habitat and it made our lives simpler. If we had to move the drawers it would cause all kinds of issues and it did its job fine where it was, so it wasn't an issue having to have it moved anyway.
Ruhee
Our biggest persuasion towards the tech room was its functionality and availability but it also had the sort of lighting and character we wanted. We also decided that Sarah would go and get permission as the person we needed to ask was my form tutor, so it wasn't as awkward as asking someone you don’t know.
Shaunice
Shaunice then stated if we get permission, we would start filming next week. We made no plans for future meetings but we all understood they may be a need for another one in the future if problems arise. The meeting again wrapped up in around half an hour and we got back to our other work.

Meeting minutes: Script and storyboard?
In this meeting many ideas were discussed as to how the script and storyboard would go we already and a vague idea of what we wanted to create.
Sarah
Sarah stated we just needed to plan it out throughly so it was in a carbon copy. It was decided by all but announced by Sarah that the script would be worked on more by Ruhee and Sarah and the storyboard would be worked on more by Sarah and Shaunice.
Ruhee
Ruhee then explained that this decision was made as Sarah was even in both fields, whereas Ruhee was better at writing and Shaunice was better at drawing. The storyboard was decided that it would be on the tech department and the hairdressers and the script would be quirky and silly, while still giving the necessary facts.
Shaunice
We then decided that the script and storyboard should be done by the end of the day, which Shaunice announced. The meeting was drawn to a close and we decided the next meeting would not be for a while.

Decisions on product
From all the planning it was decided that their would be some information given in the video then it would change to a hairdressers as a setting. I will be the person talking at the start, with Ruhee filming and Shaunice on sound. Then when we go to the scenario I am filming and the other two are both acting. Our target is to get the filming and editing done with a two day schedule. Progress was reviewed and we all completed our tasks within AO1 and 2, including schedules, roles, estimates and everything needed in preparation for the advert. Contingency plans were decided in AO1 as we needed back up plans due to things being likely to go wrong, such as bad weather, broken equipment etc, Legal and ethical issues were considered and as this was a very low budget production on location, no real issues should arise. However we did look into them just in case of trouble.
